Holiday Traditions - Christmas Cookie Baking Tradition

Christmas clip is a fantastic clip to make memories with household traditions and a great tradition is to host an yearly Christmastide bake off.

At our house everyone looks forward to the first hebdomad of Christmastide vacation, when we travel into baking manner and pass 3-4 years baking our favourite Christmastide cookies and candies! This tradition began for us back when I was first married and my father would ask for all of us over to the house for a weekend of endurance contest baking.

We spent hours talking and riant as we adust and decorated tons of different sorts of Christmastide cookies while Dad made loaves of his celebrated vacation fruitcake. Dad's crackpot was unlike any crackpot you had ever eaten and everyone liked it. Not only was Dad's crackpot totally different from others the secret to its success was that Dad soaked it in rum. There was a nimiety of gags about Dad's crackpot and how well our curate enjoyed it.

Besides cookies and crackpot person would seek their manus at making chocolates, caramel and suckers. Homemade candy is always a large hit with everyone. I always throw out for person to do cocoa covered peanut butter balls, one of my favorites.

When we were all done we'd split up the dainties and take them place to bask or manus out as gifts.

Since those bypast years Dad have got passed away and all of the children have scattered to the four corners of the U.S. but the tradition he started is carried on by each of us in our ain households every vacation season. It's a great clip for us to have got merriment together and share Christmastide memories.
